Welcome to the world of Quality Assurance (QA). Let’s understand why it is necessary to test a product or software, and discuss basic concepts in Quality Assurance. To do this, it is important to understand the difference between Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC)

What is Quality Assurance – QA?

  • It involves identifying defects throughout the entire product development process.
  • Reporting defects to the development team in a polite manner. To facilitate this, there is a system called Jira, where defects can be reported.
  • Quality Assurance essentially checks if customer requirements are met throughout the entire product development process.

What is Quality Control – QC?

Quality control checks the product at a specific point in time and not throughout the entire development process. For example, a sample of the products is taken and their quality is assessed at the end of the development process.

Testing process

First level – a testing process where the emphasis is solely on the tests.

  • Find bugs during product development.
  • Report the bugs to the development team in a polite manner. For this purpose, there is a system called Jira where bugs can be reported.

QA vs QC what is preferable Quality Control or Quality Assurance

It is better to ensure quality throughout the entire development process (QA – Quality Assurance) than to discover bugs at the end and fix them (QC – Quality Control). In fact, QA includes QC since there are tests throughout the product development process.
